Medical marijuana currently legal in Missouri

Beginning Thursday, the medical usage of marijuana in Missouri is lawful. The measure approved by voters to permit patients with cancer, PTSD and other disorders to utilize marijuana takes effect Thursday, but it’s going to be months before this may really occur.

The condition has until June 4th of next year to create applications available for individuals to speak to a physician. Then it’ll be yet another 30 times until they begin accepting these applications and yet another 30 days then until they begin issuing cards that are patient.

Plus, Wilson sees clients who need help but can not, or will not, smoke medical marijuana.  “I used to be a marijuana smoker, but I just wanted an alternative for pain relief,” voiced Connor Calhoon, Client.

“My job is a very dangerous job. I’m thousands of feet in the air on a daily basis. One false move and that’s it – that’s history for me,” lasted Calhoon.

The legislation requires the state to grant at least 192 permits to dispense marijuana disperse throughout Missouri. Additionally, it mandates at 61 permits to cultivate marijuana available.
